Job summary

OCBC Bank (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking an experienced software engineer to design, develop, and support core banking systems on the OpenShift platform. You will work on system design aligned with the bank’s evolving architecture and drive delivery with quality and secure coding practices.

The role requires 5+ years of banking applications experience, strong Java, API, Spring, JSON/XML, SQL, and Microservices skills, plus English and Chinese proficiency. Mandarin is a plus.

• Conduct testing, investigate and fix defects found in testing.
• Execute deployment planning, system configuration and deployment tasks.
• Perform technology risk assessment, peer reviews, and resolve risk findings.
• Provide production support for the applications.

Key Roles

• Design, build and support the Core banking systems on OpenShift platform.
• Perform system design which can align with bank’s new architecture and enhance reusability.
• Perform the detailed systems development tasks according to defined functional and technical design specifications.

Requirement

• Requirement Tertiary education in computer science and related subject
• At least 5 years experience in banking applications
• Strong knowledge and skills in Java, API, Spring, JSON/XML, SQL, Microservices
• Knowledge of building REST API's that integrate with Frontend JavaScript Frameworks is a plus
• Good understanding of CICD pipeline & automation testing would be an advantage
• Proficient in English & Chinese (verbal & written).
• Fluent Mandarin is a plus.
