Job summary

PURESOFTWARE SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced Analyst to join our insurance solutions team in a senior BA/Systems Analyst role.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with general or life insurance processes and can map requirements to PAS, policy lifecycles, underwriting rules, and claims workflows. You will collaborate with business and technical teams to gather functional specs, design integrations (APIs/web services), and ensure quality through testing.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of experience as System/Business/Functional Analyst
• Experience on enterprise-level applications
• Insurance domain experience in Life Insurance or General Insurance
• Experience coordinating with business and technical teams
• Understanding policy lifecycle and claims workflows
• Familiarity with PAS and policy lifecycle basics

Hands-on experience or good understanding of General Insurance or Life Insurance processes is preferred.

Knowledge of the following insurance modules is desirable:

Policy Administration System (PAS).

Policy issuance, renewal, endorsement, and cancellation.

Claims Management and Claims Processing.

Underwriting and risk assessment.

Premium calculation and payment processing.

New business and policy servicing.

Customer, agent, broker, and intermediary management.

Commission calculation and reconciliation.

Insurance product configuration.

Integration with payment gateways and third-party applications.

Technical Skills Required

Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.

Requirement gathering and documentation.

Functional and system analysis.

SQL queries and database fundamentals.

Knowledge of APIs, REST/SOAP web services, and system integrations.

Understanding of application architecture and data flows.

UML diagrams, use cases, and process flow diagrams.

Tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, and Azure DevOps.

Exposure to application testing and defect management.

Required Experience

4–8 years of experience as a System Analyst, Business Analyst, or Functional Analyst.

Experience working on enterprise-level applications.

Strong experience in requirement analysis and functional documentation.

Insurance domain experience in Life Insurance or General Insurance.

Experience coordinating with business and technical teams.

Understanding of insurance policy lifecycle and claims workflows.
