Job summary

CTF Education Group Limited in Wan Chai seeks a Business Analyst with 3+ years in Life Insurance to translate requirements into BRDs and FRSs. You will map policy workflows and collaborate with underwriters, claims, product, and policy operations.

Responsibilities include core policy administration analysis, test planning with UAT, and guiding stakeholders through the SDLC using Agile/Scrum or Waterfall methods. Strong documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Life Insurance.
• Strong knowledge of Term Life, Whole Life, Endowment, Unit-Linked/ILP, and Annuities.
• Experience across New Business, Servicing, Claims, and Policy Accounting.
• Proven ability to write BRDs, FRSs, user stories, trace matrices, and process diagrams.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum or Waterfall environments.

Job description

Requirements Gathering & Documentation: Lead requirement-gathering workshops with underwriters, claims specialists, product teams, and policy operations. Translate complex life insurance workflows into concise Business Requirements Documents (BRD) and Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS).

Life Core System Support: Analyze and document requirements for core policy administration, policy issuance, premium collection, claims management, rider processing, and renewals.

Gap & Workflow Analysis: Conduct end-to-end process mapping (As-Is and To-Be) to optimize policy lifecycle operations and system performance.

Testing & Quality Assurance: Define User Acceptance Testing (UAT) strategy, author test scenarios/cases, manage test execution, and coordinate user sign-offs.

Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary liaison between business units, software developers, and external vendors throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).

Qualifications & Skills

Required

3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within the Life Insurance industry.

Strong functional knowledge of individual or group life insurance products (Term Life, Whole Life, Endowment, Unit-Linked/ILP, Annuities).

Experience across core policy administration lifecycle processes (New Business/Underwriting, Servicing, Claims, Policy Accounting).

Proven experience writing clear BRDs, FRSs, user stories, trace matrices, and process flow diagrams.

Hands-on experience participating in Agile/Scrum or Waterfall project methodologies.
