Job summary

Sands China Ltd. in Hong Kong seeks a Senior Contract Specialist to lead procurement contracts, deliver project cost reporting for senior executives, and prepare cost information for capital funding projects.

You will review schedules, manage changes, advise on final accounts, and support procurement strategies. A Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related field and 10+ years in development projects are required; proficiency in Ariba, Primavera, Sage and MS Office is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Project Management, Cost Engineering or related disciplines.
• Over 10 years of work experience within Development Project with several years in Quantity Surveying.
• Familiar with construction procurement process with commercial awareness; proficient in MS Office and Ariba, Primavera, Sage is advantageous.
• Ability to advise on and develop existing departmental standard operating procedures.
• Good at identifying risks and opportunities and coordinating resources.
• Capable of coordinating commercial team and supply chain consultants to ensure timely tasks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver project cost reporting details for Senior Executives.
• Provide strong contractual leadership to the Procurement team.
• Prepare cost information for capital funding projects.
• Support the implementation of procurement strategies within the Department.
• Develop consultant and construction contracts with contractual inputs.
• Review and comment on Project Schedule of Rates provided by Cost Consultants.
• Handle change management of consultant and construction contracts based on QS knowledge.
• Review and comment on variation assessments for settlement of final accounts.
• Provide legal and contractual advice to the Project team.
