Job summary

Ambition, a property developer in Hong Kong, invites applications for a Senior Quantity Surveying Manager to lead commercial management and cost control across a portfolio of large-scale residential developments, including high-rise towers and luxury multi-family projects.

You will oversee procurement strategies, tender evaluation, contract administration, and high-level negotiations, while mentoring an in-house team of Quantity Surveyors and Assistant QSs through pre-development to handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• 10–15+ years in QS and commercial management.
• HKIS or RICS membership is advantageous.
• Open to developer or top-tier contractor/consultancy.
• Strong leadership and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in English and Chinese.

Position: Senior Quantity Surveying Manager
Location: Hong Kong

We are partnering with Property developer in Hong Kong. They are seeking an exceptional Senior Quantity Surveying Manager to lead commercial management and cost administration for our portfolio of large-scale residential development projects (e.g., high-rise residential towers, master-planned communities, or luxury multi-family developments).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead total commercial and financial control across the residential development portfolio, ensuring target profit margins and budgetary control.
• Establish overall procurement strategies, evaluate main contract and major specialist subcontractor packages, oversee tender documentation, and lead high-level commercial negotiations.
• Drive cost benchmarking, value engineering initiatives, detailed feasibility studies, and robust risk management strategies during pre-development and design stages.
• Oversee contract administration across standard and bespoke contract forms. Direct team handling of complex variation claims, extension of time evaluations, and potential dispute resolutions.
• Supervise major package payments, final account settlements, and build strategic relationships with main contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
• Mentor, lead, and manage an in-house team of Quantity Surveyors and Assistant QSs across project phases.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Building Surveying, or related field.
• 10 to 15+ years of progressive QS and commercial management experience, with a heavy track record leading large-scale residential developments.
• Professional member of HKIS, RICS will be an advantaged
• Open for Developer or Top-tier Main Contractor/Consultancy background
• Strong leadership, executive presentation, strategic negotiation, and dispute management skills.
• Good Command in English, Chinese
