Job summary

SleekFlow in Hong Kong is seeking a Mid-Senior level engineer to join a 50-person team of engineers, product managers, and UI/UX designers. You’ll work with engineering leadership to drive roadmaps, strategic initiatives, and AI projects to level up platform scalability and AI capabilities, while remaining hands-on with problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Degree in CS or maths or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in microservice architecture, Kubernetes, distributed systems, and databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Adaptability to a startup environment and a proactive mindset.

About the Role

You’ll join a dynamic team of 50 engineers, product managers, and UI/UX designers. You’ll collaborate with engineering management to drive roadmaps, strategic initiatives, and AI projects to level up platform scalability and AI capabilities. While influencing high-level direction, you’ll remain deeply engaged in hands-on problem-solving, tackling complex challenges that push the boundaries of our systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering leadership to contribute to the technology strategy and roadmap.
• Design and implement components of the AI infrastructure that support various business functions.
• Assist in architectural decisions and support implementation across engineering teams.
• Contribute to the scaling of existing systems and the development of new tools and infrastructure.
• Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, customer focus, and engineering excellence.
• Set standards for quality and efficiency in software systems while balancing immediate customer needs with long-term technical goals.

What You’ll Need

• Degree in Computer Science, Maths or any other relevant degrees
• 5+ years of experience in microservice architecture, Kubernetes, distributed systems, and databases.
• Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud or other equivalents
• Be flexible and grow and learn quickly in a startup environment
• A strong team player with a keen eye for detail and a passion for our products; Attitude is the single most important attribute our team values
• Executive-level interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills
