Job summary

SleekFlow in Hong Kong seeks a Lead QA to own quality across our AI-driven product ecosystem. You will report to the CTO and CEO and act as a high-visibility, high-autonomy player-coach, architecting testing platforms and mentoring an 8-person QA squad.

This role balances speed-to-market with system stability, requires designing automated testing (Unit, Integration, E2E) and applying AI-assisted QA workflows. You will push back when needed to uphold architectural integrity and release readiness.

Qualifications

• Executive-readiness with direct reporting to founders or C-level executives.
• Hands-on experience building and scaling modern test automation frameworks.
• Experience testing AI-native features or AI-enabled workflows.

Responsibilities

• Direct Founder & Executive Reporting: report on platform health, deployment risks, and quality metrics with autonomy.
• Firm Quality Gatekeeping & Pushback: challenge engineering and DevOps to ensure release readiness and architectural integrity.
• Player-Coach Leadership: mentor an 8-person QA squad, conduct code reviews, and set high technical standards.
• Test Platform Architecture: design and scale automated testing frameworks (Unit, Integration, E2E).
• AI SaaS & Non-Deterministic Testing: advance AI-assisted QA workflows and non-deterministic output evaluation.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the CTO and CEO, you will serve as the single point of quality ownership across our product ecosystem. This is a high-visibility, high-autonomy "Player-Coach" role built for a high-level builder—not a passive administrative manager. You will architect automated testing platforms from scratch, mentor an 8-person engineering squad, and act as a firm quality gatekeeper when balancing speed-to-market with system stability.

Responsibilities

• Direct Founder & Executive Reporting: Work directly with the CEO and CTO to report on platform health, deployment risks, and quality metrics. Translate high-level business goals into actionable quality benchmarks with total autonomy.
• Firm Quality Gatekeeping & Pushback: Serve as the ultimate authority on release readiness. Confidently challenge engineering, product, and DevOps teams when code quality or architectural integrity does not meet standards, ensuring risks are mitigated before production.
• Player-Coach Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and elevate our 8-person QA squad. Conduct rigorous code reviews, set high technical standards, and build a culture of accountability without getting bogged down in traditional corporate bureaucracy.
• Test Platform Architecture: Architect, build, and scale robust, modern automated testing frameworks (Unit, Integration, E2E) from the ground up, ensuring applications are inherently testable.
• AI SaaS & Non-Deterministic Testing: Spearhead modern, AI-assisted QA workflows (utilizing LLMs for test generation and visual checks) and build custom strategies to evaluate the non-deterministic outputs of our platform's AI SaaS capabilities.
• Defect Lifecycle & Troubleshooting: Act as the ultimate escalation point for complex system issues. Roll up your sleeves to replicate, report, and isolate critical bugs alongside dev teams under high-pressure scenarios.

What We Are Looking For

• Executive Readiness & Presence: Proven track record of reporting directly to C-level executives or founders in a fast-paced scale-up environment. Exceptional composure under pressure and the confidence to hold firm against feature-push deadlines.
• Proven Scope Over YOE: While technical maturity is required, we value real ownership, assertiveness, and architectural impact over high years of passive testing experience.
• Automation Mastery: Deep, hands-on experience building and scaling modern test automation frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Jest, Appium, etc.) from scratch.
• The "AI Edge": Hands-on experience testing AI-native features (chatbots, RAG systems) or leveraging AI coding assistants in daily workflows.
• Trilingual Fluency: Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese to effectively align with our cross-regional engineering and product squads.
• Assertive Scale-Up Mindset: A sharp, decisive problem-solver with a strong spine, high agency, and a passion for building quality culture in a fast-moving environment.
