Job summary

Global Sports Jobs Limited seeks a kitchen support role within the Catering Department in Hong Kong. You will assist with food preparation standards, hygiene, mise en place, quality checks, stock control and training of cooks, while ensuring compliance with food safety and health and safety requirements.

Role emphasizes punctuality, efficiency and courteous guest-facing conduct, with responsibilities across three clubhouses and racecourse facilities.

Qualifications

• Familiar with menu items, basic ingredients, prep methods and presentation.
• Punctual, efficient and courteous with guests.
• Compliant with Workplace Health & Safety and HACCP requirements.
• Working knowledge of the food safety programme.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen hygiene and cleanliness in pot and dish wash areas.
• Control mise en place and organise for the following day.
• Taste and inspect food for freshness and quality.
• Set up the section as directed by supervisor and check before service.
• Minimise food wastage.
• Attend pre-function briefing sessions and understand information.
• Assist in timely food requisitions.
• Troubleshoot kitchen issues and report unresolved problems.
• Provide on-the-job training and coaching of cooks.
• Follow the food safety programme and train associates accordingly.
