Job summary

Cathay Pacific is seeking a Solution Analyst within the IT department to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for software projects and to work with stakeholders to deliver reliable applications.

You will contribute to solution design, perform hands-on development and configuration, provide L2/L3 support for production applications and incidents, review vendor delivery, and ensure quality and alignment with technology standards while driving continuous

Qualifications

Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
Minimum 6 years of Information Technology experience, with at least 3 years of experience in application development and support.
Knowledge of database and Warehouse Operating System (WOS) is an added advantage.
Experience supporting 24/7 operational business environments is an added advantage.
Good understanding of technology trends, concepts and capabilities.
Experience working in Agile delivery environments is an advantage.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Effective communication in both Chinese and English and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Analyse business requirements and evaluate solution options from a system perspective.
Support solution design and contribute technical expertise to deliver business outcomes.
Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
Ensure end-to-end traceability and alignment between requirements and delivered solutions.
Contribute to the development of detailed technical specifications.
Perform hands‑on technical development, configuration and implementation activities.
Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for production applications and incidents.
Review vendor delivery quality and implementation activities where required.
Conduct quality assurance on solution components and ensure compliance with technology standards.
Collaborate across technology teams to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
