Job summary

JMC Capital Group Limited in Hong Kong is seeking a Settlement Officer who will monitor daily settlement operations, perform reconciliations, and coordinate cross-border transactions. The role requires familiarity with CCASS and related platforms and strong communication skills.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, 1–2 years of securities settlement experience, and an ability to work immediately if required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or related field.
• 1–2 years hands-on experience in securities settlement, clearing and middle/back-office operations preferred.
• Licenses/regulatory qualifications are an advantage.
• Familiar with CCASS, FINI, Ayers; back-office experience is an advantage.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin; immediate availability preferred.

• Manage and monitor the implementation/testing of new systems and enhancements with internal departments and external vendors.
• Handle ad-hoc tasks as assigned by management.

Perform daily and monthly position and cash reconciliations.

Coordinate overseas market transactions with counterparties and custodians (US, bond, funds, structured products, etc) for trade matching and ensure trade matched and settled.

Process corporate action entitlements, client fund deposit/ withdrawal instructions and securities transfer requests.

Submit CRS, BCAN-CID Mapping File and OTC securities transactions within a certain time under the HKIDR and OTCR.

Manage & monitor the implementation / testing of new systems and necessary system enhancements with internal departments and external parties / vendors.

Handle ad-hoc tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.

1-2 years of hands-on experience in securities settlement, clearing, and middle/back-office operations.

Relevant regulatory licenses is an advantage.

Familiar with CCASS, Fini, Ayers, back-office is an advantage.

Detail-oriented, quick learner, collaborative team player, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Good communication skills and fluent in spoken and written English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.

Immediately available is highly preferred.
