Job summary

Randstad Hong Kong Limited is seeking a senior professional to lead institutional equity settlement and post-trade operations across HK, US, JP, and SG markets. You will oversee daily settlement, monitor exceptions, and drive efficiency with frontline stakeholders.

The role requires 7–10+ years in securities settlement or post-trade, at least 3 years in leadership, deep market knowledge (CCASS, DTCC, JASDEC, CDP), and fluency in English; Cantonese/Mandarin is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years in securities settlement, corporate actions, or post-trade operations within brokerage/investment bank/c custodian.
• Deep understanding of clearing and settlement rules in HK, US, JP, and SG markets; CCASS/DTCC/JASDEC/CDP familiarity essential.
• Strong technical knowledge of global equities, ADRs, ETFs, and IPO lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily settlement and clearing operations for institutional equity trades across HK, US, JP, and SG markets (HKEX/CCASS, DTCC, JASDEC, CDP).
• Monitor unmatched, failing, or exception trades and escalate to resolve discrepancies with counterparties and clients.
• Manage end-to-end lifecycle of corporate actions for multi-jurisdictional equities.
• Oversee IPO settlement process including subscription processing, financing arrangements, allotments and first-day settlement.
• Conduct regular operational reviews with Front Office, Compliance, Risk to improve service delivery and workflow efficiency.

• Oversee the daily settlement and clearing operations for institutional equity trades across key global markets, primarily Hong Kong (HKEX/CCASS), United States (DTCC), Japan (JASDEC), and Singapore (SGX/CDP).
• Monitor unmatched, failing, or exception trades, acting as the ultimate escalation point to resolve trade discrepancies with counterparties, prime brokers, and institutional clients.
• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of mandatory and voluntary corporate actions (e.g., dividends, stock splits, rights issues, mergers, spin-offs) for multi-jurisdictional equities.
• Oversee the IPO settlement process, including subscription processing, financing arrangements, allotment allocations, and first-day trading settlement.
• Conduct regular operational reviews with key clients and internal stakeholders (Front Office, Compliance, Risk) to improve service delivery and workflow efficiency.

• Experience: 7–10+ years of solid experience in securities settlement, corporate actions, or post-trade operations within a brokerage, investment bank, or custodian, with at least 3 years in a managerial or team lead capacity.

• Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of clearing and settlement rules in HK, US, JP, and SG markets. Familiarity with CCASS, DTCC, JASDEC, and CDP is essential.

• Product Expertise: Strong technical knowledge of global equities, ADRs, ETFs, and the complete IPO lifecycle.

• System Proficiency: Experience with industry-standard settlement platforms.

• Languages: Fluent in English. Proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin is highly preferred.
