Job summary

Wrise Financial Management Services Limited, operating under the WRISE Prestige brand, seeks a Settlement Officer in Hong Kong to manage daily settlement operations across equities, bonds, funds and other products. You will ensure accurate processing, timely settlements, and regulatory compliance.

The role supports onboarding, audits, and process improvements while collaborating with custodians, banks and internal teams. Immediate start is preferred for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in settlement, operations, securities processing, or transaction support within banking, brokerage, asset management, securities, or financial services industries.
• Candidate with more experience will be offered as Senior Settlement Officer.
• Familiarity with financial products, settlement processes, and market practices. Experience in bonds, structured products, or OTC derivatives is a strong asset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel; experience with settlement and back-office systems is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently under tight deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
• Candidates available for immediate commencement will be prioritized.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily settlement operations for financial transactions, including equities, fixed income securities, funds, and other investment products.
• Ensure all transactions are settled accurately and within prescribed market deadlines and service standards.
• Process settlement payments, receipts, and related cash movements, and prepare regular settlement and reconciliation reports.
• Monitor settlement activities to ensure compliance with internal policies, operational procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Investigate, resolve, and elevate settlement discrepancies, operational issues, and incidents to management on a timely basis.
• Support system enhancements, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and operational projects as assigned.
• Assist with client onboarding activities and account setup processes related to settlement operations.
• Liaise with custodians, counterparties, brokers, banks, and internal stakeholders to facilitate smooth settlement processing.
• Support internal and external audits by providing accurate records, documentation, and operational information.
• Maintain proper transaction records and prepare management and regulatory reports as required.
• Ensure adherence to AML, compliance, risk management, and operational control frameworks.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to enhancing operational efficiency and control standards.

Job Summary
