Job summary

KGI Bank Company Limited is seeking an experienced Settlement Operations Specialist to process and monitor settlement activities for Private Banking investment products, including equities, bonds, mutual funds, and structured products. You will handle trade validation, reconciliation, and exception management while liaising with custodians and brokers.

The role requires knowledge of SWIFT messaging and custodial operations, plus strong analytical and communication skills in English and Chinese.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Finance, Business Administration, Banking, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant banking experience in investment operations, securities settlement, or custody services.
• Knowledge of Private Banking investment products (equities, fixed income, mutual funds, structured products, foreign exchange, and corporate actions).
• Knowledge of SWIFT messaging, settlement processes, and custodial operations; Avaloq experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, able to work independently and in a team.
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.
• Immediate availability is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with custodians, counterparties, brokers, and internal stakeholders to resolve settlement issues and operational inquiries
• Support corporate actions, asset servicing, cash and securities reconciliation, and custody-related operations
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal controls, and operational procedures
• Participate in system enhancements, UAT, process improvement projects
• Perform ad hoc duties and projects assigned by the Team Head
