Job summary

Hysan Development is seeking a Senior Technical Supervisor/Technical Supervisor (New Development) in Hong Kong to lead a technical team and outsourced contractors for daily operations, maintenance, and project upgrades. You will work with the building management office, manage tenant-fit-out activities, and ensure safety and quality standards.

The role requires strong leadership, over 12 years’ related experience with at least 5 years in supervision, and fluency in Cantonese with English

Qualifications

• Holder of Certificate/Higher Certificate in related Engineering/Technical disciplines.
• Holder of Certificate of Registration of Electrical Worker issued by EMSD is preferred.
• Over 12 years’ working experience in building/building services operation and maintenance with at least 5 years supervisory experience.
• Experience with pre-management and handover of commercial office and shopping mall is an advantage.
• Possess Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate.
• Work on shift if required.
• Fluent in Cantonese; English competence preferred.
• Good leadership, interpersonal, and customer service attitude.
• Excellent communication/coordination skills and MS Word/Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead the technical team and outsourced contractors to manage day-to-day operations and maintenance.
• Coordinate with building management and other departments to provide technical support for operations and activities.
• Oversee tenants’ fitting-out/reinstatement work per approved drawings and company standards.
• Handle tenants complaints and maintenance requests, strengthening tenant relations.
• Monitor works and contractor performance to ensure quality standards.
• Manage emergencies and ensure proper execution of safety procedures.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company quality policies.
• Motivate, train and develop staff to meet organizational needs.
• Identify potential risks and recommend improvements to management.

Senior Technical Supervisor/ Technical Supervisor (New Development)

Responsible for overall sub-office staff administration and supervise day-to-day operations, maintenance and works of the building / building services systems in buildings of relevant building hub; and to perform the duty as specified by his/her supervisors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise and lead the technical team and out-sourced contractors to manage and implement day-to-day operation and maintenance, preventive and emergency breakdown maintenance, system performance control & monitoring, renovation and system upgrading installations, manage and carry out other Technical Services works as directed by his/her supervisors.
• Supervise and lead the technical team to work closely with building management office and other departments to provide technical supports and to ensure smooth daily operations, marketing and company activities.
• Supervise and monitor tenants’ fitting-out/reinstatement work to ensure that it strictly follows the approved fitting-out drawings and up to the Company’s standard.
• Handle tenants complaints, requests and enquiries and lead the team to carry out necessary repair/maintenance works. Continuously strengthen relations with tenants.
• Works management and monitoring, including contractor monitoring to ensure the works are carried out properly and correctly to inline with the required quality standards.
• Manage & handle emergency situations, supervise and ensure proper execution of emergency procedures established by the Company.
• Ensure the technical team are fully aware of and comply with the statutory requirements on safety working procedures and any other related regulations and ensure site works are inline with statutory requirements and company quality standards.
• Motivate, retain, train and develop staff members to meet organization’s current and future needs.
• Lead the technical team to proactively identify potential risks and areas/systems that can be improved and make recommendations to management for improvement/rectification.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Holder of Certificate/Higher Certificate in related Engineering/Technical disciplines.
• Holder of Certificate of Registration of Electrical Worker issued by Electrical and Mechanical Services Department is preferred.
• Over 12 years’ working experience in building and/or building services systems operation and maintenance at least 5 years supervisory experience.
• Experience with pre-management and handover of commercial office and shopping mall is an advantage.
• Possess Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate.
• Work on shift if required.
• Fluent in spoken and written Cantonese, competence in English preferred.
• Good leadership and interpersonal skill.
• Excellent customer service attitude.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills as well as problem-solving abilities.
• Good command of computer skills including MS Word and Excel.
