Job summary

HKSH Medical Group Limited seeks an Assist Lead System Engineer to design enterprise infrastructure ensuring highly reliable hospital services. You will implement and support systems across multiple domains, monitor performance, and drive modernization aligned with hospital goals.

You will provide high-level guidance, escalate issues, and enforce standards for data centers, networks, servers, and storage while supervising engineers and planning workloads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher IT degree.
• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
• Experience with enterprise infrastructure and hospital IT is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead System Engineer in designing enterprise infrastructure for reliability and uptime.
• Implement and support enterprise systems across different infrastructure domains.
• Monitor and tune performance via capacity planning and design reviews.
• Enforce cybersecurity standards and disaster recovery practices.
• Drive modernization of hospital IT infrastructure in line with goals.
• Provide technical guidance and escalation support for daily operations.
• Set and enforce operational standards for data centers, networks, servers, apps, and storage.
• Supervise engineers and manage workloads to build capabilities.

Job description

Assist Lead System Engineer in designing enterprise infrastructure systems to ensure highly reliable and available support for hospital services;

Implement and support specific enterprise infrastructure systems to align with the overall design across different infrastructure specialties;

Monitor and tune specific infrastructure performance through capacity planning, design review and load/resource re-distribution;

Enforce strict cybersecurity standards and compliance protocols to safeguard data;

Drive infrastructure modernization in alignment with overarching hospital goals;

Provide high-level technical guidance and escalation support for daily infrastructure operations;

Implement operational standards for infrastructure systems including but not limited to Data Centers, server/network and application platforms, and storage systems;

Supervise system engineers on their infrastructure implementation and support practices;

Manage engineer workloads and supervise them to build technical capabilities.

Requirements:

University Degree in Information Technology or equivalent;

Minimum 10 years related experience in IT Infrastructural Set Up and Planning;

Good understanding of cybersecurity standards and disaster recovery practices;

Hands-on experience in executing infrastructure projects and managing technical escalations;

Demonstrated ability to supervise and guide junior or mid-level engineers;

Fluent in both written and spoken English and Chinese;

Experience within the healthcare, hospital operations or regulated medical services industry is highly desirable.
