Job summary

The Hong Kong Jockey Club's Catering Department seeks an experienced Wine and Beverage Manager to lead the wine program across its three Clubhouses in Hong Kong. You will collaborate with culinary, procurement and Membership Marketing teams to design events, wine lists, and wine-by-glass offerings while driving cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• A degree or higher Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent.
• Accredited international wine master certification.
• Minimum of Advanced WSET and/or Certified Sommelier from the Court of Master Sommelier.
• Wine expertise aligned with beverage program development and staff training.
• At least 5 years’ experience in similar positions in hotels or clubs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with culinary, Procurement and Membership Marketing teams for programs and marketing campaigns.
• Develop wine retail plan, events, wine lists and wine‑by‑glass programs.
• Develop wine sourcing strategy.
• Set realistic and achievable targets to maximize business return.
• Review financial performance against plan and take corrective measures.
• Build strong relationships with Members through frequent contact and feedback.
• Develop events and programs based on Members’ demands and interests.
• Monitor market trends and recommend new products and technologies.
• Master membership MCRM and hospitality service systems.
• Drive continuous operation and process improvements and ensure SOP compliance.
