Job summary

Qualifications

• Form 5 or above

Job description

About the role

Manage international shipments from cargo readiness to the agreed delivery point, with responsibility for shipment execution, freight procurement, cost control, customer logistics compliance and coordination of overseas value-added logistics services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage sea and air freight shipments, including FOB and DDP orders, coordinating cargo collection, customs clearance and delivery as applicable.


• Plan multi-vendor container consolidations; monitor shipment milestones and coordinate corrective actions to meet delivery deadlines.


• Handle freight bookings and shipping instructions through forwarders' online booking systems.


• Handle full sets of import/export documents and customs declarations; prepare customer invoices and verify sales invoices and purchase orders against shipment details.


• Obtain and negotiate freight rates, prepare logistics quotations, maintain cost records and verify forwarder invoices.


• Determine appropriate HS classifications, liaising with customs brokers on destination-specific tariff requirements.


• Coordinate overseas repacking, reworking, returns and recall logistics through European logistics partners.


• Respond to customer shipment enquiries and proactively communicate logistics-related delays, shipment exceptions and revised delivery schedules; coordinate resolution with relevant parties.


• Liaise with suppliers, customers and internal teams, and maintain accurate shipment records.

Requirements

• Form 5 or above, with at least 5 years' shipping and logistics experience, including independent shipment management and full-set import/export documentation.


• Sound knowledge of Incoterms, particularly FOB and DDP, with hands-on experience in sea freight, air freight and multi-vendor container consolidation.


• Proven experience in freight quotations, rate negotiation and logistics cost control.


• Good understanding of HS classification and customs procedures; familiarity with major forwarders' booking systems.


• Experience in China–Europe rail freight, major European retailers' supply chain requirements or overseas value-added logistics services is an advantage.


• Good command of spoken and written English and Mandarin.


• Responsible, detail-oriented and proactive, with strong coordination skills and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.


• Immediate availability preferred.
