Job summary

A*STAR invites applications for a Senior FAB Operations role to advance semiconductor process technologies in a dynamic R&D environment at Ang Mo Kio. You will handle multiple tool types in a cleanroom, operate equipment to strict process specifications, and support equipment error recovery to keep project lots moving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Microelectronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
• > 10 years in semiconductor fabrication processes (e.g., Photolithography, Etch, Thin Films, Diffusion, CMP, Metrology, bonder) preferred
• Hands-on cleanroom equipment operation experience is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.
• Team player with good communication, able to work independently and guide a group of operators.
• Self-motivated, dependable, eager to learn in a fast-paced R&D environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle multiple tool types of semiconductor equipment in a cleanroom environment.
• Working Location: Ang Mo Kio
• Use computer-based programs and applications to perform daily work and duties
• Operate equipment according to required process specifications. (e.g., procedures, change notifications, work instruction, etc.)
• Actively participate in assigned on-the-job training and complete required trainings as requested.
• Provide operation coverage and backup equipment support when necessary.
• Monitor tools output performance and communicate promptly with Engineers-in-Charge to support equipment error recovery to support project lots movement.
• Demonstrate teamwork in executing process sequences and performing data collection when required.
• Strictly follow safety protocols and cleanroom rules.
• Maintain a 6S work environment and report hazards, suspicious, or abnormal activities promptly.
• Identify and suggest improvements in wafer processing cycle time, equipment utilization, safety, compliance, consumable requirement and cost savings.
