Job summary

YUAN MEI CHEN (S) PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor to prepare BOQs, read drawings, perform measurements, and manage tender activities.

You will oversee main contract and subcontract claims, negotiate with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers, and ensure compliance with regulations and company policies. The role requires a degree in QS/CM/CE, at least 5 years in construction, strong cost control knowledge, and excellent negotiation and analytical skills to support

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction (Singapore).
• Advanced knowledge of construction estimating, cost control, and procurement.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Bills of Quantities and measurements from drawings.
• Read and understand drawings, perform measurements and take-offs.
• Understand tender, contract, documents, terms and conditions.
• Analyze quotations, prices, and build-up rates; perform pricing.
• Manage tender activities for procurement of new projects.
• Oversee submission of main contract progress, variation, and EOT claims.
• Prepare and negotiate subcontract agreements and final accounts.
• Resolve contractual disputes with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and clients on contractual and financial matters.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore building regulations, contract forms, and company policies.
