Job summary

Gough Recruitment (Hong Kong) Pty Limited is seeking a senior project manager to lead end-to-end delivery of data centre projects, from design through commissioning and handover, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, quality and client targets are met.

You will manage client and stakeholder engagements, coordinate cross-disciplinary design reviews, lead procurement and contract administration, and oversee commissioning and handover to operations in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related.
• 5–10+ years progressive PM experience in data centre / mission-critical construction.
• Strong knowledge of critical power/cooling and commissioning protocols for 24/7 operations.
• Demonstrated client-facing leadership and communication skills in fast-track delivery environments.

Responsibilities

Job description

The role

You will be leading the delivery of complex data centre projects end-to-end, from design through commissioning and handover, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, quality and client targets are met.

Key responsibilities:

Client & stakeholder management - serve as primary day-to-day client contact; build trusted relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and vendors; manage expectations, lead steering/progress meetings, and handle escalations with senior leadership visibility.

Design management - coordinate and review design development across architecture, structural, MEP and mission-critical systems; manage design consultants' scope, schedules and deliverables; lead design reviews, value engineering, and design-build/EPC interfaces; ensure designs are coordinated, compliant and constructible.

Project management - own project execution: scope, schedule, budget, quality and risk; lead procurement coordination, contract administration, change control and financial reporting; maintain project controls standards across concurrent engagements.

Commissioning & handover - lead commissioning planning and execution, including Cx agent coordination, MOP/SOP/EOP reviews, factory and site acceptance testing, energized-work coordination, integrated systems testing and successful handover to operations.

Safety, quality & compliance - reinforce site safety and mission-critical quality standards in live/operational environments.

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related; PMP/CCM (or working toward).

5–10+ years progressive PM experience in data centre / mission-critical construction; proven project delivery experience in complex projects.

Strong working knowledge of critical power/cooling (UPS, generators, switchgear, chillers, CRAC/CRAH, BMS) and commissioning protocols for 24/7 operations.

Demonstrated client-facing leadership and communication skills; experience in fast-track, high-pressure delivery environments.
