Job summary

Gough Recruitment (Hong Kong) Pty Limited has partnered with a leading global data centre developer to appoint a Senior Construction Manager in Hong Kong. The role oversees end-to-end construction from planning through handover, delivering complex data centre projects on schedule and within budget.

You will lead design development, procurement, contractor management, on-site supervision, and governance reporting while upholding safety and quality standards in a fast-paced APAC environment.

Qualifications

• Senior construction project management experience, preferably in data centres or mission-critical environments.
• Strong CSA and MEP background with familiarity with data centre infrastructure.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering, or equivalent proven experience.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and schedule.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong digital competence and proficiency in project management tools.
• Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• English fluency essential; additional regional language highly preferred.

They are looking for a Data Centre Senior Construction Manager to be based in Hong Kong, overseeing end-to-end construction from planning through handover.

Role

• Leading all construction phases from design development and procurement through to closeout
• Developing and managing project budgets, schedules, and resources against milestones
• Selecting, negotiating, and managing contractors, subcontractors, and vendors
• Monitoring progress full-time on site, ensuring safety compliance and quality standards
• Reviewing and approving construction documents, change orders, and payment applications
• Serving as primary stakeholder contact providing regular project updates and governance reporting
• Driving cost control, value engineering, and standardised financial tracking
• Embedding a robust safety culture and enforcing H&S protocols across all works
