Dtcpay in Hong Kong is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate the cloud and Kubernetes foundation that supports our engineering teams.

You will create reliable, secure platform capabilities, from self-service tools to deployment workflows, while collaborating with product and engineering to improve the developer experience. The role is fully onsite in Hong Kong.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software, backend, infrastructure, or platform engineering.
• Strong Go or Python skills with production software experience.
• Hands-on experience operating Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong Linux and TCP/IP fundamentals and network troubleshooting.
• Experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
• Security tooling integration into engineering workflows (SAST, image scanning, secrets).
• A product mindset: turn complex infra into usable tools.
• Clear communication and sound judgment during incidents.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin for vendor collaboration.
• The role is based fully onsite in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate cloud and Kubernetes platform capabilities (cluster provisioning, access control, cost governance, etc.).
• Develop self-service platform tools in Go or Python (APIs, CLIs, operators, controllers).
• Improve delivery workflows with Infrastructure as Code and GitOps (Argo CD/Flux).
• Integrate security into the dev lifecycle (scanning, secrets management, policy as code).
• Design and troubleshoot networking and runtime components (DNS, TLS, load balancing, service mesh).
• Build observability for platform services (metrics, logs, traces, SLOs).
• Partner with product/engineering to improve developer experience.
• Participate in on-call rotations and lead blameless incident reviews.
