Job summary

APJ Software (Hong Kong) Company Limited in Kowloon Bay seeks a Senior Software Engineer/Technical Lead to design, deploy, and run scalable cloud platforms. You will lead architecture, drive platform modernization, and mentor teams across DevOps and security.

The role emphasizes Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, and cloud-native tooling, with a focus on reliability, governance, and incident response. Excellent Cantonese and English communication are required, with immediate availability preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven hands-on experience designing, deploying, and operating enterprise-scale cloud environments.
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Extensive experience with Terraform and IaC practices.
• Scripting and automation experience (Bash, Python, Shell).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps delivery practices.
• Exposure to public clouds (AWS/Azure/GCP) and cloud networking.
• Knowledge of security, identity management, and governance for platforms.
• Certifications in cloud/Kubernetes/DevOps are a plus.
• Immediate availability or short notice is preferred.
• Excellent commands in Chinese (Cantonese) and English.

Senior Software Engineer/ Technical Lead

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud-based platforms and infrastructure.
• Lead the architecture, implementation, and continuous improvement of cloud and platform engineering capabilities.
• Build and manage containerized platforms using Kubernetes (K8S), Docker, and cloud-native technologies.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
• Establish and enhance CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and DevOps best practices.
• Implement monitoring, logging, observability, and reliability engineering practices to ensure platform stability and performance.
• Collaborate with application, security, architecture, and operations teams to design and deliver robust technology solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, DevOps, or related disciplines.
• Proven hands-on experience designing, deploying, and operating enterprise-scale cloud environments.
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes (K8S), container orchestration, and cloud-native ecosystem technologies.
• Extensive experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
• Solid experience in Linux administration, automation, and scripting (Bash, Python, Shell, or equivalent).
• Hands-on experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps delivery practices.
• Good exposure to one or more public cloud platforms such as AWS, Huawei Cloud, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, identity management, and platform governance.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or equivalent technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to design and support mission-critical, highly available production platforms.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant cloud, Kubernetes, or DevOps certifications will be an advantage.
• Immediate availability or a short notice period is highly preferred.
• Excellent commands in both Chinese (Cantonese) and English a must.
