Job summary

Green Lake Executive Search Co. Limited is seeking an Associate/ Vice President - Settlement, Operations to lead settlement processes for overseas markets, funds, bonds and OTC products.

You will direct daily settlement activities, reconciliations and post-trade processing, coordinating with custodians and internal teams to ensure timely, accurate outcomes. The role requires strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills; fluency in Cantonese and English is essential, Mandarin

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Finance, Accounting or relevant field.
• 4–8 years of securities settlement experience, international markets preferred.
• Familiarity with Middle X, Clearstream, CMU operations is highly preferred.
• Experience with bonds, structured products or OTC derivatives is an asset.
• Cross-border settlement expertise and best practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Strong Excel knowledge and skills.
• Fluency in Cantonese and English; Mandarin preferred.

Job description

Associate/ Vice President - Settlement, Operations

Responsibilities:

Manage the settlement process for all trades executed in Overseas Markets (such as USA, Europe, Aisa, etc), Mutual Funds, Bonds and OTC Products and ensure settlement activities processed timely and accurately.

Handling daily settlement operations including daily trade matching, client stocks deposits or withdrawals, SI and Corporate actions.

Handle pre-matching of settlement instructions, daily booking and settlement process

Ensure all post trade processing, reconciliations are properly and correctly completed

Liaise with global and sub-custodians, counterparties, internal teams to resolve any issues arisen and to ensure trades and corporation actions settled in a timely manner

Ensure all settlement procedures in compliance with local market conventions.

Monitor regulatory changes related to settlement and comply with local market conventions and different countries tax rules.

Lead projects related to systems setup, enhancement, and optimization. Define user requirements, review functional specifications, and determine testing resources.

Collaborate with system vendor and internal departments to follow up project status and progress

Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Finance, Accounting or relevant field.

Around 4-8 years of experience in a securities settlement role, preferably with exposure to international markets.

Familiarity with Middle X, Clearstream, CMU operations is highly preferred.

Experience in bonds, structured products, or OTC derivatives is a strong asset.

Expert knowledge of cross-border settlement processes and best practices.

Proficient in Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Strong excel knowledge and skillset

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with fluency in Cantonese and English, Mandarin is preferred.
