Job summary

Michael Page International (HK) Ltd is seeking a Network & Server Infrastructure Specialist for a role in the banking sector in Hong Kong. You will maintain, optimize, and transform large-scale server and network environments to ensure maximum availability and security.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in enterprise infrastructure, strong VMware and networking expertise, and hands-on experience with application servers such as Apache Tomcat. Banking experience is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in server, network and infrastructure support within large enterprise environments.
• Proven experience leading or supporting large-scale server migration projects.
• Hands-on experience managing 500-1,000+ VMware virtual servers in production environments.
• Strong expertise in VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter and virtualization technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Tomcat or other enterprise application servers.
• Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing, switching and network security.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support large-scale server migration and infrastructure transformation projects.
• Manage and support environments with 500-1,000+ VMware virtual servers.
• Administer Windows and Linux server infrastructure for high availability.
• Support enterprise application servers like Apache Tomcat.
• Manage network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs.
• Configure and manage Fortinet FortiGate and Cisco security devices.
• Perform monitoring, capacity planning, performance tuning, patch management, DR planning.
• Coordinate upgrades and production deployments with minimal business disruption.
