FWD Group in Hong Kong seeks a Senior Manager to lead the Strategic Partnerships Quality Assurance and Governance function. You will provide 1.5 Line of Defense oversight, manage a team, and coordinate across Compliance, Risk, Audit and Legal on governance and regulatory matters.

You will oversee due diligence, licensing, premium financing controls, and remediation activities, ensuring robust governance and operational controls with strong stakeholder engagement, in a dynamic insurance

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Law, Compliance or related disciplines
• Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience in life insurance, financial services, operations, quality assurance, compliance, risk management, audit or governance functions, with managerial experience
• Proven people management experience with the ability to lead, coach and develop teams
• Strong understanding of governance, internal controls, regulatory expectations, operational risk and the three lines of defence model
• Experience in regulatory inspection preparation, audit coordination, compliance reviews, issue remediation and management reporting preferred
• Knowledge of partnership due diligence, licensing, conduct risk, complaint handling, and premium financing-related controls is a plus
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across senior management, business teams, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Internal Audit and external partners
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills; proficient in Excel, PowerPoint; exposure to Power BI, data analytics or AI tools is a plus
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese

Responsabilités

• Lead the Quality Assurance and Governance function for Partnership Operations, providing 1.5 Line of Defense oversight across due diligence, licensing, conduct, premium financing, operational controls and governance activities
• Coach and develop team members to ensure effective delivery of day-to-day operations, QA reviews, monitoring, issue tracking and stakeholder engagement
• Assess design and operating effectiveness of controls, identify gaps and weaknesses, document findings with root cause analysis and recommendations
• Collaborate with 2nd and 3rd Line functions to support reviews, assurance activities, control enhancements and remediation
• Coordinate preparation for regulatory inspections and external reviews, including readiness planning and evidence validation
• Review and provide governance input on external-party arrangements, negotiating terms and control requirements including premium financing clauses
• Oversee remediation actions from QA reviews, audits and inspections; track ownership, timelines and closure evidence
• Prepare governance & QA reports, issue logs, regulatory readiness updates for senior management
• Drive continuous improvement of policies, SOPs, and monitoring tools for governance and risk transparency
