Job summary

HKT Financial Services in Hong Kong seeks an Assistant Manager, Group Insurance Compliance to provide regulatory compliance advisory for the insurance agency businesses. You will design and implement governance for insurance operations, coordinate with 1st line Compliance and Group Legal, and monitor regulatory changes to propose action plans.

You will also organize training and prepare compliance reporting.

Qualifications

5+ years’ experience in regulatory compliance, preferably gained from insurance industry.
Sound knowledge of relevant laws, regulations and guidelines e.g. IA, MPFA.
Knowledge of life insurance and general insurance products is essential.
Prior experience in consultancy, risk management, liaison with regulator would be advantageous.
Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

Provide regulatory compliance advice to support effective controls on the daily operation of insurance agency businesses of HKT Financial Services.
Design and implement the Risk and Compliance governance structure for the insurance businesses.
Coordinate with the 1st line Compliance and Group Legal to enable the insurance businesses operate in strict compliance with relevant laws, regulations and internal policies.
Monitor the current insurance regulatory landscape and devise action plans in response to changes in regulatory requirements.
Organize training/briefings with insurance businesses to promote awareness of Group policy requirements.
Liaise with the 1st line Compliance on preparation of compliance reporting to management/relevant authorities/insurance principals.
Support the review and evaluation of commercial deals and new initiatives of the insurance businesses.
