Job summary

The Hong Kong Tourism Board is seeking a senior professional to lead tourism product development and large-scale event partnerships. You will drive strategy, plan and deliver events end-to-end, and coordinate with government bodies and global offices to showcase Hong Kong as Asia’s World City.

Ideal candidates possess 10+ years in event marketing, exceptional communication and negotiation skills, and fluency in English and Chinese.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Communication/Marketing/Tourism Management or related discipline.
  • 10+ years of event, public relations or marketing experience in MNC/events industry preferred.
  • Strong interest and expertise in event tourism/ marketing/ partnership.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, and ability to develop and maintain relationships with partners and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills to connect dots in a complex environment and turn insights into action.
  • Strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Innovative and resourceful in soliciting and enhancing event partnership and tourism product development.
  • Experience in organizing, marketing and promoting sizable events.
  • Knowledge of government departments and commercial sectors in event tourism is preferred.
  • Highly proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement comprehensive tourism product development and event partnership strategies aligned with organisational goals.
  • Plan and deliver large-scale events end-to-end, ensuring alignment with global marketing campaigns and enhancing visitor experience.
  • Identify, evaluate and nurture potential events, partners and sponsorship opportunities, providing strategic recommendations.
  • Build relationships with government bureaux, public bodies, event organisers and strategic partners to secure support and collaboration.
  • Enhance event and programme content with creative, trend-driven elements such as digital art and immersive experiences.
  • Lead negotiation and formulation of contracts and sponsorship packages, ensuring governance compliance.
  • Manage event budgets, performance analysis, resource planning and financial tracking.
  • Oversee risk management, operational execution and service provider performance.
  • Drive cross-team collaboration across internal divisions and global offices to facilitate promotion and product development.
  • Prepare business proposals, presentations and reports, and undertake additional duties as required.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND LEARN?

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business/ Communication/ Marketing/ Tourism Management or relevant discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant event, public relations or marketing experience in MNC/ events industry is preferred
  • Strong interest and expertise knowledge in event tourism/ marketing/ partnership
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, and able to develop and maintain strong relationships with partners and stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to connect dots in complex environment, turn insights into action plan
  • Strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate teams to achieve common goals
  • Innovative and resourceful in soliciting and enhancing event partnership and tourism product development
  • Experience in organising, marketing and promoting sizable events
  • Knowledge of the functionality and operation of various government departments/ commercial sectors in the aspects of event tourism is preferred
  • Highly proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese
