Job summary

Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) is seeking a seasoned finance professional to oversee day-to-day accounting, month-end close, and budgeting across interfaces with global offices. You will ensure compliance with policies, support procurement, and drive system enhancements to improve internal controls.

The role requires a finance/Accounting degree, CPA preferred, at least 8 years of experience, and fluency in English and Chinese.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field; CPA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
• Exposure in multinational/regional head office finance operations.
• Treasury experience would be an advantage.
• Good command of English and Chinese (written & spoken).

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and month end closing.
• Prepare management accounts and supporting schedules.
• Perform planning and budgeting with various functional departments and worldwide offices.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures and provide guidance as needed.
• Support procurement processes including vendor selection and contract terms.
• Drive process and system enhancements to improve efficiency and internal controls.
• Coordinate with auditors for year-end audits and financial reporting.
• Assist Head Office and Worldwide Offices in daily operations and decision making.
• Perform financial analysis on trends and variances to drive business performance.
• Undertake any other duties / ad hoc assignments.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND LEARN?

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and month end closing
• Prepare management account and supporting schedules
• Perform planning and budgeting functions and coordinate with various functional departments and worldwide offices
• Ensure compliance of financial policies and procedures and provide guidance / training to users as and when necessary
• Support procurement process including but not limited to vendor selection and review contract terms
• Drive process and system enhancement to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency, and to enhance effective internal control and compliance
• Coordinate with external and internal auditors for year-end audit and other financial reporting compliance
• Work with Head Office departments and Worldwide Offices to support daily business operation & decision making, and to ensure business processes compiled with financial policies and procedures
• Perform various financial analysis on trends and variance, provide insight to drive business performance, monitor performance of business units and follow up on outstanding issues
• Undertake any other duties / ad hoc assignments

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• University degree holder in Finance, Accounting or a related field; CPA or equivalent professional qualification preferred
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience
• Exposure in multinational/regional head office finance operations
• Treasury experience would be an advantage
• A team player with good coordination and interpersonal skills, self-initiated
• Strong business sense, attention to details, analytical mind and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills; experience with data visualization tools is a plus
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
