Job summary

The Hong Kong Jockey Club is seeking a professional in the Charities and Community Division to assess and review donation applications, research social issues, and support the planning and monitoring of charitable projects. You will engage with external partners and internal teams to ensure impactful initiatives and timely approvals.

Responsibilities include vetting proposals, preparing papers, and contributing to TIPs and other special initiatives, with a focus on collaboration and rigorous

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.
  • Strong written and verbal English and Chinese communication skills are essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities are expected.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and review donation applications’ support-worthiness, analyse social issues, applicant background, and feasibility of proposed content and budget.
  • Liaise with applicants on proposal vetting and prepare approval papers and annexes with assistants.
  • Support initiation and stakeholder engagement of Trust-initiated projects and major special projects.
  • Conduct research on social issues and new initiatives, including literature reviews and data analysis.
  • Monitor approved projects to ensure implementation aligns with schedule, outputs, and budget.
  • Liaise with external partners and internal counterparts across project lifecycles.
  • Prepare presentation materials, speeches, and miscellaneous papers for the Charities team.
  • Organise or support Charities team initiatives and stakeholder engagement activities.
