Job summary

Leadingnation in Hong Kong is seeking a Deputy to lead our Data & Analytics function. You will shape analytics capabilities, oversee the data warehouse and Power BI environment, and drive data-driven decision making across the business.

You will manage multiple analytics workstreams, collaborate with stakeholders, and push for automation and AI-enabled analytics using Fabric tools. The role combines leadership with hands-on delivery in a centralized analytics function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics or related discipline is required.
• Strong experience in business analytics and advanced Power BI development (DAX, SQL, data modelling).
• Understanding of Microsoft Fabric data warehouse, pipelines, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Support the strategic direction and day-to-day management of the centralised Business & Data Analytics function.
• Manage multiple analytics workstreams with clear ownership, prioritisation, timelines and stakeholder communication.
• Oversee design, development, enhancement and governance of the centralised data warehouse and Power BI reporting environment within Fabric.
• Deliver end-to-end analytics including backlog prioritisation, issue resolution, scope definition and delivery planning.
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
• Drive automation of reporting and operational workflows using Power Automate and Fabric tools.
• Promote AI-enabled analytics tools like Copilot and Fabric Agent to boost productivity.
• Ensure analytics solutions are reliable, well documented and governed.
• Identify opportunities in AI analytics, machine learning and process optimisation.

This is a key role combining business analytics, technical delivery, stakeholder management and team leadership. The successful candidate will act as deputy to the team leader and help shape the group's data and analytics capabilities within a centralised Business & Data Analytics function of a leading Hong Kong-based organisation.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the strategic direction and day-to-day management of the centralised Business & Data Analytics function


• Manage multiple concurrent analytics workstreams, ensuring clear ownership, prioritisation, timelines and stakeholder communication


• Oversee the design, development, enhancement and governance of the group's centralised data warehouse and Power BI reporting environment within Microsoft Fabric


• Manage end-to-end analytics delivery, including backlog prioritisation, issue resolution, scope definition, dependency management and delivery planning


• Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements, prioritise initiatives and deliver practical, data-driven solutions


• Drive automation of reporting and operational workflows using Power Automate and relevant Microsoft Fabric tools


• Promote the practical use of Copilot, Fabric Agent and other AI-enabled tools to improve analytics productivity


• Ensure analytics solutions are reliable, scalable, well documented and aligned with BI governance, deployment and lifecycle management standards


• Identify opportunities across AI-enabled analytics, machine learning, advanced analytics and process optimisation

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science or a related discipline, with relevant technical training


• Strong experience in business analytics and advanced Power BI development, including DAX, SQL, data modelling and performance optimisation


• Solid understanding of Microsoft Fabric, including data warehouse, pipelines and Power BI governance


• Hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses and tools such as Power BI, Data Factory, Report Builder and Power Automate, or equivalent Fabric technologies


• Proven experience managing projects, multiple workstreams, stakeholders and delivery timelines


• Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills


• Good understanding of BI governance, deployment, documentation and lifecycle management


• Strong business acumen with a proactive, collaborative and results-oriented approach


• Experience or strong interest in AI-enabled analytics, machine learning and automation is highly valued


• Excellent written and spoken English and Cantonese; Mandarin is advantageous
