Job summary

Standard Chartered in Hong Kong seeks a senior trader to execute and manage trading of interest rate derivatives, while implementing desk strategy for profitability and risk controls.

You will price, hedge and transact to generate revenue, expand product offerings, and ensure compliance with laws and internal policies. Collaboration with Risk, Compliance, and Trading teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Economics, Finance and mathematical understanding at undergraduate level.
• Experience in trading structured interest rate products.
• Strong technical skills using tools to analyse data, develop and drive own models.

Responsibilities

• Work to implement the strategy of the desk for profitable trading at acceptable risk.
• Provide accurate and timely pricing for interest rates derivatives to meet clients’ needs.
• Transact trades to hedge risk and generate revenue using market flows and opportunities.
• Ensure adherence to internal and external regulations.
• Embed operational risk monitoring into business processes and ensure compliance with risk controls.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Risk, Compliance and Trading desks.
