Job summary

Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Ltd is seeking a Director, Structured Rates Trader in Hong Kong. You will implement the desk strategy, price interest-rate derivatives accurately for internal and external clients, and transact trades to hedge risk and generate revenues.

The role requires managing portfolio risk within approved limits, expanding product offerings, and building networks with global market centres to identify growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ experience in trading structured rates products preferably in Asia.
• Project and time management skills to monitor multiple workstreams and take ownership of issues / tasks.
• Ability to work in a team and diverse work environment.
• Excellent written & oral communication skills
• Experience of working with and presenting to senior stakeholders.
• Flexible and resilient mindset to deal with a dynamic and quick-to-change setting.

Responsibilities

• Maximise revenues and achieve the full year budget in partnership with Sales, Structuring and other trading teams.
• Provide accurate and timely pricing for interest rates derivatives to meet client needs at competitive prices.
• Transact trades to hedge risk and generate revenues.
• Expand product offering through testing and implementing new trading models.
• Manage portfolio risk within approved limits and escalate where necessary.
• Build and maintain relationships with SCB Global Market centres to identify growth opportunities.
