Job summary

The Bank of East Asia (BEA) seeks an experienced IT Operations Manager to lead Data Centre operations and Production Control in Hong Kong. You will direct planning, ensure day-to-day stability, and drive continuous improvement to lower costs while maintaining service quality.

Role requires a degree in CS or equivalent, 10+ years IT experience, and at least 3 years in a managerial role, with English and Chinese proficiency. PMP/ITIL are a plus; 7x24 support oversight is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 10+ years of IT experience with leadership exposure.
• At least 3 years in a managerial position.
• Experience in scalable, mission-critical IT infrastructure (network, storage, high availability).
• Experience implementing IT best practices.
• Experience managing a 7x24 support team.
• PMP or ITIL certification is an advantage.
• Proficient in English and Chinese (Cantonese + Mandarin).

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, coordinate and control Data Centre operations and Production Control.
• Ensure stability of day-to-day processes and activities.
• Scrutinize and continuously improve to reduce costs and improve service.
• Manage IT Service Level for internal users.
• Oversee IT Operations, Production Control and Incident Management.
• Manage physical security controls of data centres.
• Maintain the Disaster Recovery plan and conduct DR drills.
• Monitor service quality and ensure SOP compliance.
• Initiate training programs to develop staff skills.
• Perform duties as directed by supervisor.
• Adhere to regulations, risk control guidelines and integrity standards.
