Job summary

The Bank of East Asia, Limited is seeking a (Senior) Technical Services Manager for Storage Solutions within IT Infra & Ops in Hong Kong. The role focuses on leading daily storage/backup operations, monitoring performance, ensuring backups, and supporting data recovery requests.

You will troubleshoot, document systems, participate in projects like upgrades or cloud migrations, and support disaster recovery testing while adhering to security and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or related field.
• 3–5 years of IT infrastructure, system administration, storage or backups experience.
• Basic hands-on familiarity with storage and backup tools.
• Relevant certification(s) is/are a plus but not mandatory.
• Good understanding of enterprise storage (SAN/NAS) and backup/recovery concepts.
• Strong problem-solving and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Ability to follow security, compliance, and regulatory guidelines.
• Good communication skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support daily operations of storage and backup environments.
• Monitor system performance and ensure daily backups complete successfully; assist with data recovery requests.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and maintain accurate technical documentation.
• Follow standard IT procedures for incident, problem, and change management.
• Support 24/7 operations of critical IT services (occasional on-call duties).
• Lead and assist in setup, maintenance, and retirement of storage hardware and software.
• Participate in IT projects (system upgrades, cloud migrations, new platform deployments).
• Lead and assist disaster recovery testing and ensure security/compliance standards are met.
