Job summary

Amethyst Partners in Hong Kong is seeking a Senior Officer, Fund Operations to join our growing team. You will cover trade and cash reconciliations, monitor settlement and trade instructions, and liaise with fund administrators, custodians and brokers to resolve issues.

You will support investor onboarding, KYC/AML, and documentation for new funds and launches, ensuring compliance with HK AML/CFT requirements. Strong communication in English and Chinese is essential in a small office setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, law or related field.
• Around 1-5 years of Fund Operations/Middle Office/Trade Operations experience in asset management (fund services, buyside hedge funds, etc).
• Experience in fund setup is an advantage.
• Motivated, independent, and detail-oriented.
• Adaptability to work in a small office environment.
• Good communication skills, fluent in English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Cover trade and cash reconciliations, identify trade confirmations, monitor settlement and trade instruction submission.
• Liaise with external providers including fund administrator, custodian, broker on fund operations issues.
• Oversee fund operations, ensure the operations workflow and process are smooth and efficient.
• Support investor onboarding such as KYC/AML, account opening documentation, ensuring compliance with Hong Kong AML/CFT requirements.
• Provide operational support for new fund launches.
• Collaborate with management to enhance the firm’s operations efficiency and data processes.
• Keep track of regulatory requirements on fund operations.
• Other ad-hoc duties when necessary.
