Job summary

State Street in Hong Kong is seeking a supervisory professional to lead the Private Equity Fund Services group, directing day-to-day accounting and administration for multiple client funds.

You will manage client communications, review fund documents and financial work papers, ensure timely reporting, and coordinate audits while upholding internal control procedures. Develop accounting staff and ensure accurate, compliant deliverables.

Qualifications

• University degree in business, mathematics, finance or economics preferred, accounting concentration a plus.
• At least 8 years of accounting experience, including 2–3 years supervisory and financial reporting experience.
• Specific experience in private equity/real estate industry is a plus.
• Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain day-to-day communications with the clients.
• Review quarterly and annual financial work papers including portfolio schedules, accruals, partner capital allocations and tax work papers.
• Coordinate annual audit and tax return preparation with external accounting firms.
• Identify unusual or potentially suspicious transaction activity and report/escalate accordingly.
