Job summary

Gravitas Recruitment Group Hong Kong is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our tech team on a 12-month contract. The role emphasizes building high-performance financial engineering applications, automation tools, and distributed services across global offices.

You will work with Python, Java, React/Next.js, Docker, Kubernetes, and NoSQL/SQL databases while contributing to DevOps and data science-related tasks for risk mitigation and efficiency improvements.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python and exposure to Java or similar languages.
• Frontend experience with React/Next.js and modern JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of microservices, event-driven design, and containerization.
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and SDLC lifecycle.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Exposure to data science workflows or ML concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable full-stack applications.
• Develop backend systems primarily in Python with Java as needed.
• Create responsive frontends using React, Next.js, and modern JavaScript.
• Architect distributed services with microservices and event-driven patterns.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and translate concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement robust solutions.
• Work with distributed, multi-site engineering teams.
