IO TECH SOLUTIONS LIMITED is seeking a skilled Full-Stack Engineer to join our Finance, Treasury, Risk, and Execution technology team in Hong Kong. You will design and build scalable web applications, backend services, and data pipelines that support critical financial operations and risk management functions.

This hands-on role requires collaboration with business stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions, with strong emphasis on frontend React/TypeScript skills and robust backend

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience with financial applications, workflows, and data structures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills – able to translate between business and technical teams.
• Financial services background preferred.

Job description

My Client are seeking a skilled Full-Stack Engineer to join our Finance, Treasury, Risk, and Execution technology team. You will be responsible for designing and building scalable web applications, backend services, and data pipelines that support critical financial operations and risk management functions. This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with business stakeholders to deliver high-quality, data-driven solutions.

What You'll Do

Frontend Development:

• Build responsive, user-friendly web applications using modern frontend frameworks
• Develop interactive dashboards and reporting tools for financial data visualization
• Ensure seamless user experience across devices and browsers

Backend Development:

• Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices to support financial workflows
• Build scalable backend systems for data processing, calculations, and analytics
• Create efficient database schemas and optimize data access patterns
• Architect solutions capable of handling large-scale financial datasets

System Integration:

• Connect frontend applications with internal backend services and external data providers
• Integrate with trading platforms, market data sources, and enterprise systems
• Implement robust authentication, authorization, and security controls

DevOps & Quality:

• Participate in agile development, code reviews, and continuous improvement
• Write automated tests and ensure high code quality
• Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
• Monitor system performance and drive optimizations

Collaboration:

• Partner with product control, treasury, risk, and execution teams to gather requirements
• Work closely with IT and infrastructure teams on system design and integration
• Provide technical support for production issues and enhancement requests

What We’re Looking For

Technical Skills:

• Strong experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, TypeScript, JavaScript)
• Experience with data grid libraries (Ag-Grid, TanStack Table)
• Solid backend development experience with Python or Java
• Deep understanding of REST APIs, WebSockets, microservices, and web security
• Experience with batch and stream processing tools (Airflow, Kafka, Flink)
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with OLAP technologies (Snowflake, Databricks, Parquet, Trino)
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium)

Domain Knowledge:

• Understanding of financial applications, workflows, and data structures
• Experience with financial reporting, analytics, and risk systems
• Familiarity with enterprise platforms (SAP, Oracle, Workday) is a plus

Experience & Education:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience

Soft Skills:

• Financial services background preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills – able to translate between business and technical teams
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to code quality
