Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Management Services Ltd in Hong Kong is seeking a seasoned Building Services Manager/Engineer to lead the technical team and oversee daily operations, inspection and maintenance of MEP systems and building elements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Building Services, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• RPE and HKIE membership in Building Services or Electrical preferred.
• Registered Electrical Worker Certificate (Grade A/B) preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant building maintenance, planning and MEP operations at supervisory level.
• Experience with commercial building owners is advantageous.
• Experience in CAPEX planning for building improvements and preventive maintenance.
• Hands-on experience in building improvements, site coordination and emergency repairs.
• Strong English and Chinese communication skills; written and spoken.
• Strong leadership and ability to manage technical matters and teams.
• Candidates with less experience will be considered as Building Services Engineer.

Job description

You are responsible for engineering and maintenance work in the managing building and lead the technical team to carry out daily operations, inspection and regular maintenance of the MEP systems and building elements, handle emergency duties related to system breakdowns, prepare tender, supervise repair works, execute improvement works and monitor vendors’ performance.

Desired experience and technical skills required:

Bachelor's degree in Building Services/ Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering or equivalent related subjects

Registered Professional Engineer (RPE) and corporate membership of the HKIE in the Building Services or Electrical discipline is in advantage.

Holder of Registered Electrical Worker Certificate (Grade A/B) is in advantage

Minimum 8 years' relevant work experience of building maintenance, planning, and scheduling building maintenance, A&A works and MEP operation for the property in supervisory/ managerial level.

Experience in client of commercial building owner is in advantage

Experience in developing CAPEX plans for building improvements and preventive maintenance, as well as managing procurement, project management, is preferred

Hands-on experience in managing building improvement, site coordination and emergency repair works.

Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese

Independent, analytical, self-motivated, well-organized and able to work under pressure

Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage both technical matters and team members effectively

Candidates with less experience will be considered as Building Services Engineer
