Job summary

China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking a Senior Design Engineer in Hong Kong or Singapore to lead architectural tasks, prepare detailed drawings, and support project management under the Design Manager.

You will coordinate with structural, MEP, and trade teams to ensure adherence to design intent, review shop drawings, and participate in design-stage and construction-stage updates.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering; professional registration is an advantage but not mandatory.
• 8+ years of relevant architectural design and/or project management experience.
• Familiarity with Singapore or Hong Kong building codes, statutory submission processes, and construction practices.
• Good command of written and spoken English; proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.
• Knowledge of building envelope systems and interior fit-out.
• Experience coordinating with trades and reviewing subcontractor shop drawings for design intent.

Coordinate with other trades to ensure accurate integration of services, structure, and architectural details.

Assist in producing design-stage and construction-stage architectural updates.

Review subcontractor shop drawings and material submissions for compliance with design intent.

Requirements:

Familiarity with either Singapore or Hong Kong building codes, statutory submission processes, and construction practices.

Degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering; professional registration is an advantage but not mandatory.

8+ years of relevant architectural design and/or project management experience (consultant, design institute, or contractor background accepted).

Good understanding of building envelope systems, interior fit-out, and finishing details.

Good command of written and spoken English; proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.

BIM experience and knowledge are preferred.

Prior experience in public sector building projects and/or hospitals and healthcare facilities (public or private) will be considered a strong advantage.
