Job summary

China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking a Senior Design Engineer in Hong Kong or Singapore to lead architectural tasks, prepare detailed drawings, and support project management under the Design Manager.

You will coordinate with structural, MEP, and trade teams to ensure adherence to design intent, review shop drawings, and participate in design-stage and construction-stage updates.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering; professional registration is an advantage but not mandatory.
• 8+ years of relevant architectural design and/or project management experience.
• Familiarity with Singapore or Hong Kong building codes, statutory submission processes, and construction practices.
• Good command of written and spoken English; proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.
• Knowledge of building envelope systems and interior fit-out.
• Experience coordinating with trades and reviewing subcontractor shop drawings for design intent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed architectural drawings, sections, elevations, and specifications.
• Coordinate with other trades to ensure integrated design of services, structure, and architectural details.
• Assist in producing design-stage and construction-stage architectural updates.
• Review subcontractor shop drawings and material submissions for compliance with design intent.
