Job summary

Job description

Senior Engineer (Hong Kong or Singapore based)

Handle technical matters for assigned work areas, including drawing reviews, technical submissions, material approvals and method statements.

Coordinate with consultants, the design team and subcontractors to resolve technical queries and RFIs, including architectural, structural and MEP interfaces.

Review subcontractor shop drawings and coordinate builder's works and openings.

Monitor progress against the programme, and prepare look-ahead programmes and progress reports.

Oversee works and inspections for compliance with drawings, specifications and approved method statements; follow up on NCRs and defects.

Keep project records supporting progress claims, variations and EOT.

Support testing & commissioning, as-built documentation and handover.

Requirements:

Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Building or a related discipline.

8+ years of construction experience on large building projects, preferably with a main contractor.

Good technical knowledge of building codes, design coordination and construction practices in Singapore or Hong Kong.

Good command of written and spoken English; proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.

Experience with prefabrication / DfMA methods is an advantage.

BIM experience and knowledge are preferred.

Prior experience in public sector building projects and/or hospitals and healthcare facilities (public or private) will be considered a strong advantage.
