Job summary

China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking an Architect to participate in tendering and design coordination for major building and civil projects in Hong Kong. The role involves developing innovative design solutions, supporting temporary works, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and efficient project execution.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture or above.
• HKIE membership or equivalent.
• 3+ years in architectural design or design coordination.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with MiC and DfMA prefabrication preferred.
• Strong English and Chinese language skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in tender preparation and submission, ensuring compliance with specs.

Job description

China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Limited (“the Company” or “China State Hong Kong”) started its construction business in Hong Kong in 1979. The Company engages in building construction and civil engineering works. China State Hong Kong is among the largest construction contractors in Hong Kong, and is approved by the Works Bureau, to be on the List of Approved Contractors (Group C) for Public Works in the five major categories of building and civil engineering works, namely, “Buildings”, “Port Works”, “Roads and Drainage”, “Site Formation” and “Waterworks”.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the preparation and submission of tenders, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
• Develop innovative and alternative design solutions to enhance project outcomes.
• Support the engineering and design of complex temporary works, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including construction, clients, and stakeholders, to facilitate seamless project execution.
• Provide technical support and assistance throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture or above.
• Member of HKIE or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of relevant architectural design or design coordination experience (consultant, design institute, or contractor background accepted).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with MiC (Modular Integrated Construction) and DfMA (Design for Manufacture and Assembly) prefabricated structures is preferred.
• Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
