Job summary

China Railway Construction Group Co., Ltd in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Commercial/Contract Manager for multi-disciplinary MEP projects. You will provide commercial advice on tendering and claims, review issues, and implement preventive measures to minimize disputes.

You will assess consultants' or contractors' payment applications, handle contract disputes and variation orders, and ensure compliance with NEC contracts.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building Services, Construction or related discipline.
• HKIS or RICS chartered membership required.
• 5 years’ post-qualification management experience in HK for multi-disciplinary MEP projects.
• Experience with NEC contracts highly preferable.
• Excellent understanding of construction contracts, tender processes and commercial management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Immediate availability or short notice preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial advice to management on tendering and claims processes.
• Review and advise on claim issues, and implement preventive measures to minimize future contractual claims and disputes from consultants and contractors.
• Assess consultants' or contractors' payment applications in connection with consultancy services contracts and the employment of site supervision staff.
• Handle complaints, contract disputes, and variation order (VO) claims.
