Job summary

MTS Global Pte Ltd in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Linux System Administrator to manage setup, backups, patching and monitoring, ensuring system reliability.

The role involves architecture design consultation, DR planning, audit-compliant guidelines, and leading junior admins; requires strong scripting, virtualization and middleware experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in information technology, computer science or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years working experience in Redhat Linux 8/9 system administration.
• Solid knowledge in technical infrastructure environment and system architecture design.
• Hands-on experience in VMware, IBM GPFS, Veritas Infoscale, Redhat GFS, Redhat Cluster Suite and middleware products such as Apache, Nginx, JBOSS EAP, Tomcat, WebSphere and MQSeries.
• Proficiency in shell scripting, Bigfix and ansible
• Experience in distributed system design and administration is a plus.
• Experience in system performance monitoring and tuning
• Self-motivated, and willing to work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Will to work out of office hours for urgent production issues supporting
• Good interpersonal and communication skill with a good command of spoken and written Chinese and English. knowledge of Mandarin is a plus.
• Familiarity with End-of-Support (EOS) system upgrades, patch management and lifecycle management.
• Strong understanding of audit and compliance requirements, including documentation, SAT, and user access reviews

• Able to activate and support DR systems during annual drills.
• Experience coordinating infrastructure changes related to network deployments or upgrades.
