The Project Manager is responsible for leading the successful delivery of data center development and infrastructure projects in Hong Kong. The role will involve planning, design, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning, through to operational handover. You will ensure the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Establish project objectives, execution plans, budgets, schedules, and performance standards in accordance with company policies and business requirements.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project, including look-ahead plans and regular schedule updates.
Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, consultants, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Manage project financials, including budgets, progress claims, contract variations, cost control, and expenditures.
Monitor project progress, maintain project documentation, and provide regular status reports to management and stakeholders.
Manage project change orders, contract administration, and procurement activities throughout the project lifecycle.
Identify project risks and issues, implement corrective actions, and serve as the escalation point for critical matters.
Coordinate the procurement, delivery, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of equipment and systems.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, regulatory authorities, and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience in data center project management, engineering consultancy, construction, or mission-critical facilities.
Proven experience delivering Greenfield, Brownfield, and live data center projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including MEP systems, construction methodologies, testing & commissioning, and operational handover.
Demonstrated ability to manage project schedules, budgets, contracts, risks, and multidisciplinary project teams.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Project or equivalent project scheduling software.
Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer (CEng), or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an advantage.
Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Cantonese is an advantage
