Aurex Group is partnering with a leading global contractor to identify a Senior Concept Designer to drive concept design and early stage services across complex exteriors in Hong Kong. You will shape winning project strategies from early engagement through tender, working closely with clients, architects, consultants, suppliers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture or Engineering required.
• Strong design and commercial experience in building exteriors.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary design teams.
• Solid knowledge of building systems, materials, and technical design processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptual design and technical strategy for top tier projects.
• Present innovative, commercially viable solutions to clients, architects, and consultants.
• Lead and mentor designers and engineers throughout the design/assist process.
• Coordinate design, tendering, QS, project management, and supply-chain teams.
• Oversee early-stage system design, engineering checks, value engineering, and tender information.
• Explore material, procurement, prototyping, and installation options to support delivery.
• Build strong client and consultant relationships and identify new market opportunities.

You will work closely with clients, architects, consultants, suppliers and internal teams to shape winning project strategies from early engagement through tender.

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptual design and technical strategy for top tier projects.
• Present innovative, commercially viable solutions to clients, architects, and consultants.
• Lead and mentor designers and engineers throughout the design/assist process.
• Coordinate design, tendering, QS, project management, and supply-chain teams.
• Oversee early-stage system design, engineering checks, value engineering, and tender information.
• Explore material, procurement, prototyping, and installation options to support successful delivery.
• Build strong client and consultant relationships while identifying new market opportunities.

To be considered

• Degree-qualified in Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline; relevant industry experience will also be considered.
• Strong design and commercial experience within building exteriors or related construction sectors.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary design teams.
• Solid knowledge of building systems, materials, building science and technical design processes.
• Commercially astute, with the ability to balance design ambition, budget, programme and buildability.
• Confident communication and presentation skills, able to engage senior internal and external stakeholders.
• Comfortable managing complex projects and multiple workstreams.
