Job summary

Hassell is seeking a Senior Interior Designer in Hong Kong to lead workplace, commercial, and retail projects across Asia markets. You’ll collaborate with architects, strategists, and other designers to create thoughtful environments that enhance how people live, work, and connect.

You’ll mentor junior designers, manage client relationships, and drive delivery on large-scale projects while staying ahead of sustainable design trends.

Qualifications

• Several years' experience as a senior interior designer with a leading design firm and a strong portfolio of workplace projects.
• Experience with clients across workplace and retail sectors in Asia markets.
• Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Strong conceptual thinking and attention to detail.
• Excellent presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process from concept through to completion, ensuring design excellence and innovation.
• Develop and present compelling design concepts, material palettes, and spatial strategies.
• Oversee documentation, ensuring high-quality detailing and technical accuracy.
• Manage client relationships, acting as a key point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to coordinate design intent and project delivery.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers, fostering their professional growth.

Job Description

As a Senior Interior Designer, you’ll be an integral part of our design team, working on a diverse range of projects across workplace design, commercial buildings and retail. You’ll collaborate with architects, strategists, and other designers to create thoughtful and innovative interior environments that enhance how people live, work, and connect.

This role plays a critical role in both leading design outcomes and driving delivery across large-scale, often complex projects workplace projects for clients across many sectors.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Lead the design process from concept through to completion, ensuring design excellence and innovation.
• Develop and present compelling design concepts, material palettes, and spatial strategies.
• Oversee/participate in documentation, ensuring high-quality detailing and technical accuracy.
• Manage client relationships, acting as a key point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.

You will be confident in presenting ideas, collaborating with team and engaging with clients. You think creatively and adapt to project challenges with the ability to work effectively across multiple disciplines, teams and geographies. Thrive in a fast-paced environment and able to embrace change with a solutions-focused mindset.

• Several years' experience gained as a senior interior designerwith a leading design firm, with a strong portfolio of completed workplace projects.
• Experience working with clients across workplace and retail sectorsacrossthe Asiamarkets is a strong preference.
• Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Revit

• Excellent presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
