Job summary

Hassell in Hong Kong is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to lead interior design for workplace, commercial, and retail projects. You’ll collaborate with architects, strategists, and other designers to sculpt innovative spaces that enhance how people live, work, and connect.

With several years of senior-level experience, you’ll manage design delivery, mentor juniors, and stay ahead of trends in materials and sustainable design across Asia markets. Hybrid work and flexible patterns are supported.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience as a senior interior designer with a leading design firm.
• Experience with workplace and retail sectors across Asia markets is preferred.
• Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Strong conceptual thinking and attention to detail.
• Excellent presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proactive team player in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process from concept through to completion, ensuring design excellence and innovation.
• Develop and present compelling design concepts, material palettes, and spatial strategies.
• Oversee/participate in documentation, ensuring high-quality detailing and technical accuracy.
• Manage client relationships, acting as a key point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to coordinate design intent and project delivery.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers, fostering their professional growth.
• Stay ahead of industry trends, materials, and sustainable design practices to inform innovative solutions.

As a Senior Interior Designer, you'll be an integral part of our design team, working on a diverse range of projects across workplace design, commercial buildings and retail. You'll collaborate with architects, strategists, and other designers to create thoughtful and innovative interior environments that enhance how people live, work, and connect.

This role plays a critical role in both leading design outcomes and driving delivery across large-scale, often complex projects workplace projects for clients across many sectors.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Several years' experience gained as a senior interior designer with a leading design firm, with a strong portfolio of completed workplace projects.
• Experience working with clients across workplace and retail sectors across the Asia markets is a strong preference.
• Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Revit
• Strong conceptual thinking and attention to detail.
• Excellent presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
